So every year Rexburg has this 2 acre big straw maze that is 8 ft tall and crazy long. At night, they turn it into a haunted straw maze. Last year, I went and I freaked out a bit, because random people would chase you or pop out at you. It took 2 hours to get out too, and it was really dark. This year when we got to the maze, it started off much better. There was no long line, the weather wasn't too chilly, our group was a good group, and I even got to go over and pet the maze owner's Belgian horses! That was, however, before the maze began..

We broke into groups and headed on into the maze. Right off I was freaking out. They had us walk through a metal shed, there were things hanging down, and I was just waiting for someone to jump out at us. Conrad, Eythan's roommate, was gracious enough to let me death grip the back of his shirt as we went through. When we exited the shed and entered the beginning of the maze, there was this bloody creepy scarecrow walking towards us. I didn't need a second look, I was instantly running, pushing Conrad, my bodyguard, away from the scarecrow. A few corners later and we hit strobe lights that blind us, then someone starts crying, its a dead bride. We continued on through the maze, with me freaking out every time we run into someone or someone brushes against the maze.
Now, I forgot to mention, our group was over 7 people big and only 4 people could enter at a time. My small group was first and didn't wait for the others, however, we ran into them all shortly after we began and regrouped.
As we rounded one corner, with me behind Conrad, two chainsaws go off right next to us, and one seperates us with one. We both freak out, and end up slipping on the straw and falling down. I wasn't down for more than a second before I was right back up. I run around the corner where the rest of the group was and spotted one of the other guys. I slam into one of them and throw them in front of me, using them to shield me from the chainsaws. Of course, this was pretty funny to everyone else. Three of the group members didn't even see me run behind James, and were asking where I was. I was too scared to speak, and James was laughing to hard to answer. Eventually though, they spotted me. (This is when our group split again, without meaning to of course. I was now with Ian, James, Michelle, and Clint. Conrad, Jenny, Eythan, Matt, and Jackie were on their own.)
We left the area the chainsaw guys were hiding and continued on through the maze, trying to get out. Ian and James then had much fun warning the 'monsters' that I was coming, so they would scare me. There was this one guy in stilts dressed as a clown that kept running around chasing everyone. He enjoyed chasing me EVERYWHERE! And he would creep up behind me saying in a whisper "Shakira, Shakira, Shakira"
When we finally left the clown far behind, a chainsaw guy revved that thing and I bolted right into Ian and cornered him, me trying to get behind him. The chainsaw guy comes up to me, and he is about 6 inches from my face. Ian starts to push me towards him when I shove further behind him. Then the chainsaw guy gets closer, so he's 6 inches away again..He sits there and stares. He's in my way of escape, and so i have to go past him to move on...When I do this he revved that stupid chainsaw again, which had me bolting..This kind of thing continued for another 10 or so minutes. The last 10 minutes I was in the maze, I was so far beyond the point of freaked out that I was starting to get really pissed. Whenever I saw a maze worker dressed up, I would basically yell at them to bug off. We finally made it out of the maze, and a maze worker took a picture of us to put on their website and then we waited for the rest of our group to make it out of the maze: Look at my arm color then my face..Yeah talk about no color left..The only reason I was smiling was because I was out of that maze, and well, it was a picture so I had to smile :)

When the others made it out of the maze, me, Jenny, Conrad, and Eythan went to Coco Bean for some much needed ice cream. Craziest moment ever.
