Semester Begins!

Well I can honestly say that the semester has begun with an amazing start. I have two new roommates this semester and so far they are just fabulous! Classes are going well. I have a feeling that it will go much better than it usually does. I'm still living in the Willows, and it's super nice. New room though. Decorated it differently this time around. There is snow up here already and the temperatures are below -15. Not too cold though! Anyways here's some random pictures of the first part of the semester!

Finals Week!

Wow, I can't believe it is already here. So much has happened this semester and in so little time. By the end of this week I will be back home in Fredonia. I can honestly say that I am super stoked about it. I really need a break from school. It's been draining. Anyways, here are some fun little things about finals week that I quite enjoy.

Parisii Quartet!

Around 7:20 tonight me, Michelle, Lisa, Jenna, and Jackie went to the Barrus Hall in the Snow Building and were able to watch the Parissi Quartet perform! The Parissi Quartet is a string quartet from Paris, France. They performed very well. It was such a delight to be able to go and experience the talent that these 4 men have.

After the performance, we all went into the open area in the Snow, just outside the Barrus Hall and were treated to cookies and drinks. When I went to the table to put my cookies down so I could put my coat on, my group left. I looked for them, but wasn't finding them anywhere! I was at the  stairs near the exit on the north end when I looked to my left. I saw Michelle and in hope of catching up to them, I wasn't looking where I was going. I ran right into the cellist from the quartet!! I looked up and recognized him and immediately started to apologize. He, only speaking some English, and having a heavy french accent was say, 'It's ok, it's ok!' really fast. I had no clue what he had said! I just said sorry again, and walked past him to Michelle. Then relaying what I just went through, we figured out what he has been saying. Needless to say, my face was blood red.

My roommate Michelle knows some french and so all of us as a group went up to the cellist and another member of the quartet. She asked the cellist, in french, if we could take a picture with him. He smiled and agreed. He then called the attention of the other quartet member that was close by for the picture and looked around the the other two, but couldn't find them. He then proceeded to set us in line with him and the other musician. We got a picture, thanked them, and Michelle conversed in french with the cellist a while longer before saying goodbye.

As we turned to leave, the cellist came over and asked for a copy of the picture. I thought that that was just awesome. He couldn't really explain what he wanted us to do with the picture since his English was very limited, but he got the attention of the other member and had him speak for him. It took us about 5 minutes or so to figure all of it out, but it was worth it. We ended up e-mailing the picture to the one member in the quartet.

Snow at last

Wow, I am quite a bit behind! So in the past week or two, Rexburg finally decided to snow. Loved almost every minute of it. With the snow, it was warmer outside that it had been. Anywho, it only lasted about a week before it was all melted. I have a feeling that that was just a glimpse of what is to come. Here are some pictures of the epic snow :)

Montana Bound

So for my Natural Disasters class we had to go on this all day field trip that took us to some natural disaster sites. The trip begun at about 8 am and ended at 3:30 pm. We went through Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. Montana was where we spent most of the day and we were able to see some pretty cool sites. Anywho, here is my trip through pictures :)

To the Willows we go!

So this semester, I moved from La Jolla to the Willows which is about a block closer to campus, and brand new! We are the first people to live in this complex! I love living here so far, and it's been great to have my old roomies here too. Anyways, welcome to the Willows tour! Sorry for the messy counter :)
